Learning Colors

Jaden is learning colors and loves to read this book over and over and over again and match the pictures to their colors.  Even though he's on the blue page, his favorite color is yellow-just ask him!

It's supposed to get down to 2 degrees today and the static was in full force this morning. Check out the hair!

The Weekly White Storm

It snowed again over the weekend, which has convinced me that it snows weekly here.  Anyway, we all got dressed up to go out and sled.  Jaden is still wearing his favorite Elmo p.j.s under his snow suit!

Jaden can read!  Just kidding (I wanted to see what it was like to be one of those moms that say things like that)!  

Anyway, this is Jaden's new favorite book, courtesy of Uncle Mike and Aunt Karen.  If you look closely at the cover, you can see Jaden's face.  He is on every page and giggles every time he sees himself in the book.  If you're interested, Mike and Karen got it for him from Snapfish.

Singing and the Rain

Just when we were getting used to the snow, we had freezing rain last night.  Needless to say, we didn't make it out of the house today because the roads and sidewalks were covered with ice.  Even Halle and Harry slipped on the steps when I let them out this morning.  

I tried my best to get Jaden to sing Ring around the Rosy on video.  Check it out:

Cooking Lessons

Jaden was so nice and helped me make dinner tonight-chili and biscuits.  He helped me get out the pots and pans.

After stirring the dough and dropping the biscuits on a cookie sheet, he checked on them in the oven.

Then, as usual, he ate up!

ABCs and Sticky Fingers

Jaden has been talking a lot lately, and singing the abc's, which according to him, start with "e f g" and end with a big giggle after "l m n o."  I'll get it on video as soon as he lets me!  

Other fun things:

-We started a new class today at the JCC called "Sticky Fingers."  Jaden gets to paint, play with a tub of rice and mixing cups, play-doh, basically everything you wouldn't want to clean up yourself.   Today he loved playing with the rice and kept coming back to it.  He also made a painting that we'll pick up next week after it is dried.

-Jaden has been saying "all done" when we are doing something and he wants it to stop.  Today he said "all done" when I put him down for his nap.  Glad he's getting the hang of it!

-On the drive down to Maryland for Thanksgiving, we listened to T.I. who is now Jaden's favorite artist.  Every time we get in the car, it's "T.I.! T.I.!" And if we try to trick him and tell him it's T.I. on the radio when it really isn't, he says "no" and continues to ask for T.I.
